Christophe Hentsch

Born: November 19, 1958

Founded in 1796, Lombard Odier & Cie is the oldest firm of private bankers in Geneva and one of the largest in Switzerland and Europe, with a network of 25 offices in 18 countries.

After graduating from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) with a degree in economics, Christophe Hentsch started to work with Hewlett-Packard in Geneva in 1984. A year later he joined the Corporate Finance team at Kleinwort Benson in London and was appointed Senior Vice President of their Swiss subsidiary in 1990. In 1991, Christophe Hentsch moved to the Swiss advertising company Société Générale d’Affichage, where he was CFO and a member of the senior management. From 1996 to 1999, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Swiss Electronic Stock Exchange.

Christophe Hentsch joined Lombard Odier & Cie in 1999. After running the Global Custody Department and shouldering heavy responsibilities within the Private Clients Unit, he was appointed as a Managing Partner in 2004. In addition to his client contacts, particularly in Asia, he is responsible for the Technology & Banking Infrastructure, Finance, Logistics and Human Resources Units. He also chairs the Group’s Coordination Committee.
